Norman Park, Bromley, Kent.  Chris returned to jumping to attempt the world record.  Unfortunately, due to the bikes under performance and a defective rear shock, which allowed the rear wheel to compress and lock on the rear mudguard on take-off kicking the bike over backwards, Chris was unable to achieve this goal.

Due to lack of sponsorship at the time, Chris had to use his 1986 Yamaha YZ490, which at nine years of age was no longer up to the task.
